ParaFlow® HE-1507A

ParaFlow HE-1507A is an aqueous based and hydrocarbon solvent free emulsion breaker composition that when used in combination with ParaFlow HE-508MM at an approximate 3-4:1 ratio, is effective in recovering paraffin and asphaltenes from crude oil tank bottoms and slop oil, and in the process has the potential to dramatically lower the B.S.& W. of crude oil.

  • Emulsion breaker for crude oils ranging in API gravity from 3.1 to 10.0.
  • Slop oil emulsion breaker for petroleum and petrochemical waste oils.
  • Chelating agent for aluminum, iron, calcium, copper and sodium.
  • Asphaltenic crude viscosity reducing agent.

 ParaFlow HE-6400

ParaFlow HE-6400 combines the attributes of several ParaFlow chemistries into a single stable aqueous based composition.  It has shown efficacy as an effective emulsion breaker, particularly where challenges from high iron sulfide or zinc sulfide are present, and as an additive that contributes to viscosity reduction in asphaltenic crudes.

Features and benefits include:

  • Designed to assist in the reduction of soluble and non-soluble iron compounds including iron pyrite and pyritic iron sulfide compounds in petroleum crude oil, ideally suited for use in desalter and heater treater operations.
  • Reduces viscosity and promotes improved flow in heavy asphaltenic crudes.
  • Effective additive for treating and recovering hydrocarbon slop/sludge from crude oil storage tanks.
  • Does not contain any thermally unstable polymeric dispersants and therefore minimizes the formation of persistent rag layers that are difficult to break during emulsion separations.
  • Does not contain hydrocarbon solvents.
  • Thermally stable. Decomposition temperature  >220°C.
  • Pour point -15°C
  • Soluble in water.
  • Up to +/- 5% water can be added before haze appears.
